Overview
The project integrated human-centered design (HCD) and agile methodologies to ensure a successful service development process.
The team conducted research to identify motivations and pain points of ID students, leading to the development of a service blueprint that addressed all stages of the service. The team prioritized tasks using varioys agile technique sand leveraged digital platforms to create a wellness community within ID.
Research
The process began with a thorough understanding of the user pain points through primary and secondary research.
The team identified that ID students faced challenges such as a lack of community support, time constraints, insufficient knowledge on healthy living, and safety concerns.
Defining Goals
The desired outcome was to strengthen both individual and collective wellness for greater student growth and success at ID.
The problem area we began looking at was centered around motivations behind health. The reframed problem is now the lack of sense of community in the wellness space at the Institute
of Design. We utilised the following framework to clearly define the stakeholders, the service
and it's desired impact.
Service blueprint
The team developed a service blueprint that outlined the strategy for increasing visibility, access, engagement, feedback, and sustainability of the wellness community. This blueprint served as a roadmap for the project's development
User Stories
The team created user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development of the project. These stories were then prioritized using a backlog, ensuring that the most critical features were developed first.
Prototyping & Storytelling
A prototype was developed to test the solution. The team storyboarded the user journey, from scanning a QR code to providing feedback on Slack, which helped visualize the user experience and refine the MVP.
User Testing &
Feedback
The prototype was user-tested, and feedback was collected to iterate and improve the solution. This step was crucial in ensuring that the wellness community platform met the needs of ID students
Implementation and Continuous Improvement
The project was set to be handed over to the ID Student's Association (IDSA) for long-term institutionalization. The team planned for continuous improvement using Agile methodologies, ensuring the platform would evolve based on student feedback.
